I have come here on and off for years. At first it was after a recommendation that this was a great to get a great used bike cheap. That is no longer true... The best time to look for bikes here based on selection is 3 months after the school year ends. This is when the bike have been cut off the racks around campus and then waited for original owners claim them. I went this year for that first weekend after the were released be sold. There were around 30 - 40 bikes. Usually there are 6 to 12 most other times. Yet, I think too many have heard about great bike deals, and ASU Surplus has started to overprice these bikes they got for free. Prices now start at $35 for a rusted bike without a seat to well over a $100 for a respectable one. There were several used Huffy beach cruiser style bikes that had noticeable wear from being on an outdoor bike rack for months that had a price tag of $65 plus. These bikes sell new at WalMart for around $125. Obviously, I not pick up a spare bike here and turned instead to craiglist. Otherwise, it if an OK place to sporadically find things like unique vintage chairs, unworn athletic shoes and equipment, or computer accessories like a power cord for an old portable computer.
