Love ,Love, Love this place!!! We only live 45 minutes away yet it felt like we were transported to another time and place. This was the original Lodgings of the builders of the dam. It has been maintained impeccably. You are secluded by mountains all around. The view is amazing and it is very easy to unwind and make the rest of the world go away. Besides the heated pool, corn hole, ping pong, rec room ( including pool table), library, Den, hammock,beautiful lawns, walking and hiking trails, shuffle board, kayaking and tubing, we also got to partake of a cowboy steak cook out!! It was beyond wonderful. Breakfast was included every morning and it wasn't continental. LOL. Along with eggs, bacon, bagels, hash browns , sausage, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee we had wonderful blueberry pancakes and fantastic banana nut French toast!
This place is a hidden gem which we are so excited we found and can not wait till we have a chance to return.
John and Sean are the resident managers. They are very knowledgeable about the area and extremely pleasant to converse with. My favorite quote from John is " We like to think we all just live in Mayberry around here." He's right. It's just like Mayberry......perfect!
