This is SO CUTE! Who'd ever think I'd say that about a loblaws?! I went here today in hopes to go to butter avenue after, but after I saw the patisserie inside... I had no more intentions of that. The decor in this loblaws is on point, from the cheese displays to the glass cases of macarons/cupcakes/truffles! Everything is very organized and clean. Also, I found that the meats were pretty cheap! 4 chicken breasts (pretty sizable too) are only $7.50! What?! Too bad I was headed to school after, or I'd definitely have enough chicken breast to meal prep for 3 weeks. Anyway, The patisserie is honestly the main attraction- it looks like a full blown bakery in a grocery store and it has basically everything a regular bakery would- donuts, cupcakes, mini cakes.. and there's even the worker icing cakes in front of you. I felt like a child mesmerized by the sweet icing smells. The aesthetics of the bakery section is OFF THE WALL.
Also, the workers are pretty friendly and .. so is the crowd! I saw around 4-5 people that met up with their friends, so clearly it's a 'regulars' kind of place and has a very nice kind neighbourhood vibe.
+ 1 extra thing- it was 'get a free ben and jerry's ice cream cone' day and the kind lady manning the booth convinced me to get a free ice cream! YUM! My first Ben & Jerry's experience and it was a great one at that.
