Oh,man! This place has perfect pizza! Whenever we're in Pittsburgh, we try one or two places we've never been to. One of them has to be a pizza joint. One particular visit a few years back, we already had pizza at a place downtown and thought it was the best we've had in Pittsburgh, but then we came to Bella Notte later in the day. MM MM . . . Pizza Heaven!
First, I ordered a beer. I love porter or stout and asked what they had on tap. Was recommended the Edmund Fitzgerald. Loved it! Found a new favorite.
Next, we ordered a couple different pizzas. Mine was mostly peppers, onions, olives. My niece's was pepperoni and sausage. My pizza was very good, but when I took a bite out of the pepperoni/sausage slice, it was perfection. The pizza was nice and hot. When the bottom of the crust slightly snapped on the first bite, it was like a pizza dream come to life. The pepperoni and sausage were not cheap quality. Very tasty. Another reviewer on here said the flavor was close to Domino's. GTFOH! Domino's is junk. Not even CLOSE! That person must be a smoker who can't taste anything, or they were drunk.
After that fateful day, every year when we come to see the Steelers play (several times each season), or we're here to visit family and hang out, Bella Notte is on the list. In fact, I'll be in town at the end of May and my sister will be with me. She's gluten intolerant and can't eat the pizza. But, that's not my problem. I'm getting some of this for sure!
