The Lakewood library is one of my favorite places to get work done, read books, or chill out. Love everything about the place. It's clean, well lit, and properly staffed. It's got everything you need. Grand reading room upstairs, bottom north is the kids section, and also decent size computer room. I like how if you sign up for a library card, you can borrow not only books, but also CD's, DVD's, magazines, and you can register online to download ebooks and audio books as well. I think it's a bummer that this library is separate from the Cleveland Public Library system as its unnecessary to have two separate library cards and I feel the Lakewood Library would benefit from collaborations with Cleveland library services such as its integration with CLEVNET.
During the warmer days and proper season, the library hosts weekly farmers markets and CSA pickup in the front. This place is a great addition to an already popular destination in Lakewood.
