We agreed on a $12,000 job for the backyard, and I wanted a quote on the front. Paid $6,000 deposit. The work kept getting pushed back in their schedule until I finally couldn't have it done because I had other remodeling and painting contractors scheduled in the yard. They also weren't getting me a bid on the front like I kept asking. So I canceled the job and hired someone else when the yard was available a few weeks later. They wouldn't refund my deposit for several weeks. After several unpleasant conversations, they finally did, but they held $30 back for a bank fee. I'm still trying to get that $30 returned.
If you use this company, have a very flexible schedule and do not pay an up-front deposit.
