BEWARE! We moved here last summer from CA and were more than happy to pay a little extra for what we were told was a luxury apartment. A year later and we are counting down the days until we move. Take my advice: LOOK ELSEWHERE! There is a reason this place looks so empty and why they are always offering big signing bonuses: Cops are REGULARLY at the complex. My roommate was literally chased into our apartment one night because some meth-addict came into our complex through the gate door that was left broken for months by the office. The cops came quickly and arrested him hiding in the bushes - no idea where our "on-site security" was - they never answer their phone. Right after this, I had a young barefoot girl pound on my door with a small child in her arms and in tears. Her baby-daddy allegedly beat her up and locked her out of the apartment and she needed someone to call the police. Lucky me! The buildings are cheaply built and the walls are super thin. You hear everything your neighbors do - when they get home, who they have over, what they're watching on TV - its horrible. I sleep through earthquakes and the loudest thunderstorms - but I can't sleep through a 3am drunk karaoke party above me. Its even worse when you're near the pool- its always busy but rarely with anyone that lives in the apartments - lots of loud, obnoxious kids and adults all over (we've seen more than one couple actually having sex at the pool). The appliances are just as cheap as the buildings: our refrigerator came with a fist-mark on the freezer and a broken drawer that the complex refused to replace. Our dryer completely died after a couple months and now our washer is broken - it's going on two weeks with no sign from maintenance. There are large cockroaches, spiders, and earwigs IN the apartments: carpet, ceilings, bathrooms - everywhere - its disgusting. They have an exterminator that comes weekly but it didn't help us after repeated treatments. If that doesn't gross you out - there are piles of dog shit everywhere that sit for weeks if not months before they're cleaned up - the leasing agents (with prospects) and maintenance just walk by it like its not there. We complained when we moved in that mold was coming from the walls behind our shower. Maintenance decided to caulk over instead of treating the mold and now we have large mold packets behind our shower growing through our tile. We've had to keep the bathroom closed as the mold is giving us headaches. I doubt we are the only ones that had this problem and honestly I won't even give our tap water to our pets after seeing the buildup it leaves. The leasing office is awful. Julius doesn't know his job - from literally giving us the wrong keys when we moved in to conveniently forgetting to have us sign paperwork - constantly a disappointment. The manager, Samantha, is useless - she loves to butt into other people's conversations when she has no idea what is going on and ends up just pissing off tenants, blaming her "corporate" for all the things she refuses to make good on, and looking like a fool. Take my advise - find another apartment complex - you don't want to be stuck here.
