The first time I went to Nadge, it was because my sister wanted to pick up some of the "best macarons ever" to take home, so we walked over during a day of shopping on Queen West. I tried a cherry chocolate macaron (I don't usually like cherry flavoured things) and it was to DIE for. So, when I went back with two friends today I couldn't wait to indulge in some more. I tried six different macarons, and each was really good and true to their name flavor-wise. The cappuccino was a favourite, as was the cherry chocolate (again). My least favourite was the mojito, although it did taste fairly similar to the drink. I also had a cappuccino while there, which was really good. We sat outside, and it was great to look out over Trinity Bellwoods while enjoying our drinks and desserts. I wish I could comment on some of the other delicious looking desserts and sandwiches sold there, but I'm gluten-intolerant and therefore can't have them :( However, I brought my boyfriend home a "Beatrix Potter" cake, which is a hazelnut carrot cake and was really pretty looking. He LOVED it, and said the combination of carrot cake with the fluffy hazelnut buttercream was delicious.
