I think it's great that the Crave Truck is trying to establish a unique business in the C-U area and help grow the local food truck scene, but, after visiting them at the Market at the Square last weekend, I found the food underwhelming. To be clear, it wasn't BAD, it was just..."meh." I ordered the whole wheat waffle with maple syrup and butter. The waffle was surprisingly dense, but had decent flavor. The "syrup," however was your standard corn-syrupy "syrup"...a far cry from the maple syrup they advertise. If you're going to have gourmet waffles, why ruin them with crappy syrup? Also, for $6 I expected a slightly bigger waffle. Nothing huge, just something slightly larger than a 4x4 piece. I'd still recommend giving it a try for yourself, though, especially since they have a lot of options for waffles and toppings.
