Wilshire Pines was the first apartment I rented in Arizona. I lived there from 2011-2012 and overall it was a pleasant experience. Tammy, (the manager at the time) was amazing. She was extremely responsive and was always friendly. I thought that the maintenance guys were great as well. My air conditioner broke numerous times and they were in my apartment within the hour. However, I would say that the AC unit would have to be one of my complaints. It did break a lot and should have been completely replaced. The people in general were nice but there were some sketchy tenants that I stayed away from. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and is a great deal for the price. Yes, sometimes there were screaming children and drunk college students but it wasn't excessive. I wish they had a gate because some questionable people showed up during the night. I moved because I wanted to pay for a nicer complex in Scottsdale with a gate but I would give this complex a chance if you are on a budget.
