As someone who has lived in Germany and had authentic German food and constantly looks for American German restaurants this was a big let down. I have several complaints. The buffet contained non- German food like pastas and penne and American food (this is always a bad sign) because real German restaurants have only German food. I have had my fair share of rotkohl and sauerbraten and other German foods, I tried their sauerbraten, rotkohl and sausage and was incredibly disappointed, it was lacking that signature German flavor and tasted like it came from a can. It was all flavorless and I couldn't even get through a 1/3 of my plate. The rotkohl was mushy and the sauerbraten was mushy, just no wrong wrong wrong. I have to say also, it was $16 for the buffet (these are lunch prices) and $5 for a 1/2 liter beer, very overpriced for a poor attempt at German food. The waitstaff are very unprofessional all standing around and talking loud near your table. I dined alone and so I sat alone, they sat at a vacant table across from me talking loud and being rude. It was approaching 2:30 which is when they close so they starting closing up shop and guests were still in the dining room: vacuuming, cleaning, laughing amongst themselves all while guests were trying to enjoy their meals. I have been to mediocre, average and incredible German restaurants and this gets 1 star from me. I drove 45 minutes for overpriced "German" food. I will not be coming back at all. The dessert didn't taste German at all, carrot cake and stuff like from a grocery store bakery. If your cooks aren't German or aren't experienced in making German food then you shouldn't be a German restaurant. Also, I did not see curry wurst anywhere. What German restaurant doesn't have currywurrst? Auf Weidersehen, adieu and goodbye. No thanks.
