The food at Byblos is very good. The menu is neither lacking nor excessive, but just about the right amount in the number of offerings. Years ago I went there on my wedding anniversary--we were both in the mood for Mediterranean food. After we were seated, no one waited on us. After about 15 minutes, we got up and left. (Maybe servers were confused about in whose section we had been seated.) Years later, I went to lunch there with some friends. Everything was fine this time around, but I had to explain to my companions why I had chosen not to eat there for years. It's been over a year now since that lunch, but I need to go back because the food is delicious. That incident many years ago was, I'm sure, a fluke. However, that one time of bad "service" left a bad taste in my mouth (and tells a story about the importance of pleasing the customer). Honestly, though, the food won't hurt your feelings. You'll like it.
