After wine tasting at Carlson Creek, we took a short walk to Citizen for a snack and drink. Another great find for us while visiting the Old Town Scottsdale area! We sat at the bar, which filled up quickly as the happy hour crowd rolled in. The ambiance is nice. The bar is the focal point, surrounded by tables with white table cloths for a more formal dining experience. The servers at the bar were friendly. There were some unique items on their happy hour and starter menus. We ordered Heirloom Popcorn with bacon (salty, greasy, I liked it), Housemade Flatbread with hummus & tzatiki (good, though nothing too special), and Pork Belly Pastrami with brussel sprout sauerkraut (I was intrigued by the description. Pretty good). As you can see, we went with a salty, greasy kind of theme. Hubby had the cocktail of the day. He said it was ok, not much of a kick to it. After those very generous pours by Wendy at Carlson Creek, I stuck with ice water (it was delicious, lol!). I would try this place again next time we are in town.
