I called Desert Computer Solutions after leaving the Microsoft Store disappointed in a 55 day minimum wait time for repair on a new keyboard for my laptop. My first impression with Desert Computer Solutions was positive after speaking with George, he gave me a quote over the phone based off my laptop model number and said he would overnight the keyboard so I could have it back within 4 days. I brought the laptop in hoping for that to actually happen, which it did not. I was given a $100 additional quote than what I was told over the phone and it was expected to take about 2 additional days to get it back. I was disappointed with this and let the man know that is not what I was promised from the get go. He assured me it costed more due to the model of the laptop, etc. I drove over an hour to get to Desert Computer Solutions and left with my fingers crossed that I would get a call soon to pick up. After 6 days, I heard nothing and called day 6-9 until it was finally ready for pick up Day 10. When I arrived to pick up, some of the keys still did not work, they were flattened. When I pointed this out, the manager said the key worked it was just flat. Um.. for $150 I want the laptop keyboard to be flawless. I said so, and they "popped" it out. I do not recommend Desert Computer Solutions unless you need work done on a computer you do not primarily use. They really seemed to be in no hurry and seemed unorganized. **Update the new keyboard is also noisey.
