Dr. Chang is a fine doctor. She helped me get my seizures under control. However, her office manager is rude and disrespectful. There was a billing dispute. I moved houses and like protocol, updated my address with her office, two years ago. But they continued to send bills to my old house. I explained that a phone call could have immediately remedied the situation; her response was, "That isn't our policy." She the began to lecture me, stating, "well sir, you obviously don't know how insurance works." I explained that the professionalism of the office staff is important when it comes to retaining patients. This is specialty care, not a quick clinic.
I would never have known that I had any past due bills, until CVS called to say that Dr Chang denied the request. I called her office again and the office manager said that pharmacy law change and that Dr Chang needs to see me every three to six months. She was correct that pharmacy law changed, but the law changed for controlled medication. My medicine is not controlled. That is when she hung up on me. I called back and told her that was rude. Well, She ends up scheduling me for an appointment. But when I got to her office, the front staff said that Dr Chang thought it was best if I didn't see her anymore. I requested all of my records, but they were unable to take my card because, "there is no way for us to charge you for records through our computer system." What a joke!
