My ice maker was not working so I called to schedule a service appointment. They informed me that it will be a $55 service call. I was fine with the fee however my ice maker was left undiagnosed. The service tech Roman was very friendly and hospitable however he ran his tests, reset the ice maker, tested the voltage and found no issues. All I was left with was that I should replace the ice maker because "we," can't figure out what is wrong with it. My problem is that I was still charged $55 without finding out what the problem was. I didn't need to pay a company $55 to tell me more ice maker was broken. They quoted me $243 installed for a new one. I have a Samsung so I went online and ordered a new one for $115 and installed it in 5 minutes (7 screws and a plug). Not satisfied with their business model.
