We signed up for service from Guardian a few years back. Due to unforseen circumstances we had to sell our house and move to MA. We called Guardian to tell them about the situation and the only out they offered was to pawn the service off on someone else or renew for another three years. Their rationale was that it costs money to send the installation guy out to the house and to install the unit which is all spread out across the course of the contract. Fast forward a year and a half and here we are still paying for an inactive protection service on a house we don't own, in a state we don't live in. I would gladly pay the installation fee out of pocket twice over to get out of this contract. One of the worst financial mistakes I've ever made. Period.
