My OBGYN called ahead of time because i'm preg & ordered my tests to be ready for when i arrive. First off, triage claimed they had no clue who my dr would have spoken to, then once i was triaged i was sent to the back for blood work. By the time i went for blood work i had to explain the tests my dr had ordered 3x. After waiting an hour an emergency room dr finally said oh i found you. He stated he was the one my dr had spoken to & he was going to have my exams done right away. After 4 1/2hrs i had to go ask the nurse's desk how much longer bc i am pregnant & needed to eat. I was sent from my 3pm dr appt straight to the ER, it was now 9pm. During all the wait i seen so many unsanitary procedures, I was sooo disgusted! A nurse that was taking out an IV placed the cotton that goes right over your open skin on a chair then on the patients wound. He had on gloves, through something away, pushed down the trash in the trash can & then with those same gloves went back & finished covering up the ladies open wound! Did i mention i am sitting in a chair surrounded by blood?? When you hear 'Summerlin' Hospital, you think a nicer, newer, cleaner place. I felt like i was at UMC or Valley Hospital.
