I have been going to Evoke Salon at Yonge & Eglinton for almost three years to get my balayage colour done by Dee Lewis and I wouldn't go to anyone else for a number of reasons. Firstly, Dee listens to what you say you want and gives you exactly that - even if you don't know how to describe what you're looking for (coming from personal experience). I wanted balayage but also wanted a more natural "sunkissed" highlight and Dee gave me exactly that. I cannot tell you the number of compliments I've received about my hair colour. The salon in itself is filled with friendly staff and an upbeat vibe, with awesome music. Dee is great to chat with and makes you feel comfortable right away. She always offers honest advice and will give you suggestions if you're having any hair issues. She has tested a number of products herself and stays up to date with current trends, styles and products. Dee is not only delightful, but also incredibly trustworthy with your precious locks. I have also had my hair cut by Shawnn Saunders, who deserves incredible praise. I came in with an awful, uneven haircut done by a stylist at another salon in Toronto (which shall remain nameless). Shawn stayed calm and fixed my cut as best he could without cutting too much length. I will be forever grateful. I am so happy to have found Evoke Salon shortly after moving to the city, and do not plan on ever going elsewhere.
