I came across Chosen Roasters at the new 3H Market in Ballantyne Village. I was walking by when I was offered a taste of a freshly roasted cashew. I had no intention of buying anything until I tasted the cashew. It was so delicious, had the right firmness, texture and crunch. Chosen Roasters roasts nuts and dries fruit in small batches, without any preservatives, sugars, salts or oils. You can purchase the nuts and fruits in individual bags or as a bag of mixed nuts or trail mix. I'm not the biggest fan of trail mix because of the sticky and sugary coating that stays on your fingers but after trying the dried pineapple (incredible!) and the freshly roasted (and still warm) pecans, I wanted to try everything and the trail mix was the best way to go. I also purchased a bag of pumpkin seeds (50g of protein in one bag!). Two hours later and with the help of my husband, both bags are 1/4 of the way down. Chosen Roasters is at the 3H Market every Tuesday and Saturday. We'll be heading back there once these bags run out!
