Deplorable service! Yesterday Thursday I came into the Bull and Firking at around 11:00 PM, after a late-night business meeting. Only the late-night kitchen was open, so I asked for something along the lines of an Italian veal sandwich, to which the daft, young bartender answered, "You realize this is an English Pub, right"? I answered "Yes" in an insisting manner, to which the bartender replied "Are you alright, tonight"? to imply that I was too intoxicated for him to serve me. All I had asked for was something along the lines of an Italian veal sandwich, which apparently, this "exclusively English pub" is too Anglophile to serve among its' selection of Pulled Pork Nachos, Montreal Smoked Sandwiches, and a Hummus Platter. Certainly glad that I'm not Italian, otherwise I would be racially offended at this point. Unfortunately, I live within a three-minute walk of this pub, and will likely end up returning at some point for a pint, and maybe the pre-fab Sheppard's Pie.
