This is a bare bones Xfit style gym. The driving forces are LeeAnna and Rachael, two ladies with a passion for physical fitness, and the backgrounds to get you where you want to be regardless of your goals; members of Agassi 24 Hr Fitness will remember them fondly.
They offer TRX classes, Yoga, Pilates, Boot Camp, FIT (f@$king insane training) Kids Camp, Challenges including Bod Pod body fat testing and Personal Training sessions and are adding more daily. Classes never have more than 15 people at a time. On Sundays, they hold Boot Camp at Willows Park: 100% of these proceeds go toward the Douglas J. Green Memorial Foundation, honoring the memory of Doug, who was KIA in Afghanistan 28 August 2011. The DJG Foundation collects and sends items for carepackages to deployed local service members worldwide.
There's a great deal of camaraderie amongst gym members. They've just announced a partnership with the Epineph-Run coming up in May '15, going to be a great time training and doing it as a group.
My longtime trainer, Eric is here now, and while I bitch about no AC, we do work! Very limited cardio equipment (treadmill, spin, rower) free weights, Smith machines, racks, tires, sledgehammers, 1:1 Pilates w Rachael and aforementioned TRX and creative ways to work out. Much easier to focus in a quieter setting for me.
I've been loving my time here, less distraction than big gyms, though I do still pop in to 24 for cardio, swim, SHOWER, sauna, etc. Divas might have trouble with lack of amenities, I don't miss the Desperate Housewives of Snobberlin and the full hair, makeup and BS that accompany them.
