I ventured to Kaiju Games this weekend to look for a gift for a boardgame-loving brother, having discovered it when searching for game stores outside of the downtown area. Pretty convenient location in a small plaza. The store is a little on the small side, with most of the games stacked on spartan shelves along one wall. Don't let the size foll you though. They have a great collection of games; it leaned more heavily towards Euro-style games, but I was tickled by the 20+ versions of Monopoly they had in stock. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, giving recommendations and tips when I asked but left me alone to peruse at my leisure. I ended buying 2 small games for my brother (10% off as a Black Friday deal), and a long list of games that caught my eye. I'd definitely be back again, probably quite soon, to add to my own collection!
