I had the Mac and Cheese. This is the second time I've been to Cafe Uno, both times I've had the Mac and Cheese and both times it's been average, that's not what this 1 star review is about. Plain and simply this 1 star review is about poor management. Let me explain. I opted to sit outside on the patio, something I will always do if there is shade to be found. Upon the arrival of my meal I realized that there was no black pepper on my table or any others, so I swiftly jogged inside to grab a shaker. When I returned I observed my meal being ravaged by pigeons, and I shooed them away in disgust. I brought my dish back inside and asked for a replacement, I assumed this would be no problem. To my utmost surprise the waiter came back to me and informed me that the manager would not agree to replace the meal. I went to speak with her and she did replace it, although reluctantly and while informing me that if I had been in a park or something that no vendor would replace the food. I wasn't in a park, I was on Cafe Uno's patio, a place no better than a hotdog stand by management's own account.
