I would not recommend Fabiola Gilles or her law firm to anyone. I will never use her services again. In my opinion she is not trustworthy or reliable. I would strongly advise against utilizing her. It's my belief that she's very passionate about getting your money but not passionate about doing a good job. I'm extremely disappointed. Her performance was consistently far below my expectation. She never took responsibility for errors. Instead she used fast talk, redirected blame, and even resorted to dishonesty to avoid admitting errors.
I am a previous client of Fabiola Gilles. Her firm represented me in 2 separate legal matters. I first went to her in 2012 and last worked with her a few months ago in 2015. The end result of the 1st matter was acceptable. However, I was extremely proactive. I worked closely with the Attorney assigned to that case. I completed a lot of the work myself and forwarded it to her. Fabiola Gilles still charged me as if her law firm had done all of it. She refused to refund part of the retainer. I ultimately accepted her decision because without them as front persons I had been spinning my wheels with the other party. Their response was more productive after the attorney attached her name and credential to my work.
Regarding the second matter Fabiola Gilles represented me. She was completely unorganized and unfamiliar with the software program she required me to use to submit information. She missed deadlines, didn't update me or provide information she should have. She lost documents that should have been in my file and failed to respond to the other party's Attorney for approximately 1 month. She also failed to communicate with others on my behalf. This led to various parties contacting me directly numerous times. Each time they made me aware that Fabiola Gilles was not handling situations. When I confronted her, she blatantly lied to me numerous times. She denied receiving emails from the other Attorney. Fabiola Gilles even went so far as to disrespect me. She created a spectacle in her office yelling and cursing me and acting extremely defensive concerning her failure to handle numerous things. I later received documented proof she had been lying. She never apologized for any of it. I spent a great deal of time working on this case as well. I had to drive last minute to the courts to file paperwork after being notified she hadn't. I began contacting the other party's Attorney myself and consistently contacted all involved to stay on top of the situation and to provide them required information. I could not trust Fabiola Gilles to take care of things. Dealing with her and the level of carelessness caused more stress to an already stressful situation.
