I've been a Cox customer for over 10 years and have recently become completely unimpressed by their lack of customer service loyalty. Long gone are the days of being treated as a loyal customer and receiving discounts and perks. Knowing they have no real competition because they've pretty much monopolized the market, they now treat their customers like cattle. All they care about now is how high they can make your bill, keeping you locked into an unrealistic and very expensive contract, and repeatedly telling you there's nothing else they can do for you. I want tv schedules like that of what Cox offers, with a remote control and the ability to channel surf many channels, so I know I don't want the headaches of satellite tv. But because Cox has monopolized the market/area I can't get its competitor, Century Link, which by the way is much cheaper. Mind you I haven't changed any of my services with Cox, but now my bill has gone from 80+ a month to 200 a month and it's financially killing me. Not to mention they don't offer any two package (tv and internet ONLY) deals, which forces you to have a home telephone you'll never ever use because you only use your cell phone. Last but not least, they're services suck. If the cable box isn't always messing up it's the internet and WI-FI DAILY cutting on and off with super slow speeds and I pay for a high speed. I WISH there were more cable competitors because Cox has me highly disappointed and dissatisfied.
