Keep in mind, it's a school. The students are there to learn. With that said, I had the most wonderful experience getting my hair done today. I found a Groupon that got me a shampoo, full highlights, haircut, blow dry and style for $32. My hair happens to be really long so when they were doing my consultation they informed me that they'd have to use extra product which would cost an additional $24. By the time they were finished it ended up only costing an extra eight dollars which I was happy to spend. My hair typically cost upwards of $90 to have done after tip. Even with giving the two students both a $20 tip on top of my Groupon including the extra eight dollars I still spent less than that and felt like I was contributing to their education! It really didn't take as much extra time as I was expecting though, because they had two students working on my highlights at the same time. There was definitely a lot of learning going on and the instructor continue to monitor and then teach when she felt as if they may not be ready for the next step. I actually had the instructor cut my hair while she was teaching the other students as they observed, so I was thrilled with the end result! My highlights turned out wonderful, and my haircut was better than expected. Great experience!
