I avoided the place for ages because it's such a circus but was pleasantly surprised to find that you can place reservations online. So all the lining up and griping about wait times is unnecessary. The food is very good. The portions vary widely from a generous heap of tempura green beans (a perfect blend of tender and crisp) to minuscule (a delicious ceviche of octopus with wasabi shoots) but the flavors are all exceptional. The only thing I dislike about the place is the noise level. Between the thumping music and the screaming staff it is nearly impossible to have a conversation. Expect to sit mutely grinning at each other or go home hoarse.
