Since this is pretty much the only ski shop in Phoenix, I really, really wanted to like this place. The selection is good and the staff are knowledgeable enough. However, I had a really bad experience with their return policy and I will not be patronizing them again. I stopped in before leaving on a ski trip to buy a few things. I bought them to try on at home with the rest of my gear (as the sales lady suggested!) and return whatever didn't fit well. A few days after returning home, I brought in an item to return. The cashier told me I was outside of the 14 day return window and therefore they can only offer me store credit. To their credit, yes, the 2 week return policy is printed on the receipt. But I truly thought it was 30 days because that's standard almost anywhere. 2 weeks is outrageous. I bought regular, full-priced items not sale or clearance items. I realize the mistake was mine but a 2 week return policy is just not customer friendly, especially around the holidays when people are busy and often out of town. I want to support local but this just isn't worth the inconvenience. I can buy most things online for the same price or cheaper, they're shipped right to my door, and often have easy and/or free returns with at least a 30 day window. If you need to try on gear or get advice then this is probably your best option in the area. However, after using up my store credit, I will not be purchasing anything else from them.
