I recently had an issue with one of my AC Units and my home warranty company assigned America's Pride for my repair. The first contact I received was a voicemail (my phone never rang) they intentionally left only a voicemail asking for me to call to schedule my repair. I immediately called the number back and there was no answer. Both my husband and I tried from our cellphones for the next 2 hours to get someone to answer. Finally a women answered the phone and she was so rude. I explained I'd been trying to call for over two hours and I'd like to schedule my repair. She then told me "Well, I'm only one person and my phones have been ringing off the hook!" Then she went onto explain that schedule was now full for the day and they wouldn't have an appointment until the next day. The service tech that arrived "Don" I have to give full credit to, he was extremely nice and went above and beyond to answer my questions. Some freon was added and off he went. Later that night after returning from dinner and a movie we walked into the house to find the temp was 64 degrees! The unit was not shutting off. My husband determined the thermostat to be bad. Again I called the next morning to try and schedule the repair. Americas Pride opens at 8:00am I called nonstop until 10:00am until I gave up and called my home warranty company and they also could not make contact. They advised they would send an email to them. At 11:00 I got ahold of the women that answers the phones for Americas Pride and same thing, they were now fully scheduled for the day and I'd have to wait again. I tried to explain that I was not a new customer and that the repair they initially made was not fully completed because the thermostat was bad and I was insistent they send someone today. She said she would have the owner "Derrick" call me. Ten minutes later I got a call saying he didn't have time to talk to me and that I can take the appointment for tomorrow or call my home warranty company and asked to be reassigned to another company!!! My husband decided he was done dealing with them and bought and installed the new thermostat himself. Long and short of this review is.....The tech was extremely nice however missed checking the thermostat. The office staff is horrible and under staffed! If and when you get ahold of them, plan on waiting. It's unfortunate that I could not speak with the owner because I doubt he knows how badly his business is going suffer because of poor office / customer service management.
