Coming to NC for the first time, I had to try some bbq. I've been "smokin" for over 15 years and believe I have a pretty good handle on what makes good bbq. 521 is very good. A little different than I'm used to because the bbq is less smokey and a bit more on the sweeter side. The ribs are absolutely fall off the bone good. I can't even begin to imagine what other yelpers wrote about their ribs being tough...huh!? Their bbq (pulled pork) was very tasty too but lacked a little flavor. After mixing both table sauces together and putting it on the bbq, it was fantastic. We were there on a Fri so they had bbq chicken, which was also very good. I also don't understand some comments on their french fries. They're the same frozen fries that many restaurants use. Nothing special but certainly not bad...they were perfectly ordinary fries. Service was above good and I totally recommend this place.
