This school has made a huge difference in my son's life. In public school, he was struggling academically and behaviorally. He had very little confidence and would spend hours at home completing work he didn't finish in school. I never had much communication with his teachers about how to help him, even though I was able to help out at the school once a week. There were just too many kids there for him to have the attention he needed. I knew we needed to make a change. I debated between homeschooling and private school. Following the recommendations of friends, I chose to try Journey. It wasn't a perfect fit at first because my son had more behavioral issues than I realized. However, as I sat and observed his classes, I realized this school is exactly where he needed to be to learn academic as well as life skills. His teacher is absolutely remarkable and the school places the kids in subjects according to their ability. The whole school does the same subjects at the same time so that the kids can be challenged at their own pace. His academics and behavior have dramatically improved. The teachers are gifted teachers and genuinely care about their students. This is a hidden gem of a school and I feel blessed to be a part of it.
