Great bread, delicious pepperoni rolls and outstanding bakery items but the inconvenience of waiting in two lines and paying separately are unnecessary. The place is clean and the people are very friendly. I had a pepperoni roll with ranch dressing, a burnt almond torte and a rum ball. Everything was delicious I've been eating here for years. They're great for holiday bread, the scones are delicious and the spinach rolls good too. I've also been to the Shadyside location. They're always great experiences but Shadyside has one register so you can pay for all your items at once. Downtown has two registers and even if you want to use your card and pay once it's not an option which I don't like at all. They werent crowded when I went but they can get crowned at times so standing in two long lines wouldn't be an option for me.
