I stumbled across Green Oaks website during a google search, looking for alternative accommodations for my friend's wedding at Chateau des Charmes since all the major hotel chains in the area were charging over $300/night (mid-August). I definitely lucked out finding this gem! All the necessary info is outlined simply and clearly on their website, including pictures of the rooms (there are only three, it's not complicated), suggested activities in the area, and a one-page and instant online reservation method.
When we arrived, we found the house and rooms very homey with a rustic, antiquey feel, which is a great change from the city and from cookie cutter hotel rooms with white sheets of questionable cleanliness. Trish is very friendly and a great host. She made a fresh and delicious breakfast for all the guests the next morning, while we made some new acquaintances sharing a meal.
Had a great experience, I would stay there again and recommend it to others who are looking for accoms in Niagara-on-the-Lake area or for a weekend getaway (there's lots to do in the area!). Great value for the location!
