I have lived here for almost a year. My lease is about to end and we needed an extra month until we get the other place. A couple of days after signing the lease, we realized that we didn't need more time and that we will be moving on the initial date of contract. My husband talked to the property manager Tricia Humphrey to check if we could cancel that one month lease paying a fee for the trouble. She said there was no problem and we just needed to pay $315 plus water and garbage fees. She also said that the system was down and the contract was not even in the system. When he when to pay this, she said to it was her fault but we needed to pay for the whole month even though we are not going to be there. My husband was in shock because this was the same person that he spoke just like 2 weeks ago and told totally the opposite. He demanded to talk to her boss and she gave a really aggressive and arrogant response and said that she was going to call the cops. My husband was actually happy that she was going to call the cops so he had a change to explain the situation to someone that would listen and was open to help and give options. She provided my husband an email of her boss but was wrong. When my husband came back then she gave the correct email. Now we don't know if we are going to able to leave just paying the fees or we will have to pay the whole month. I feel that the boss should be more accessible to Tenants and be able to give responses to people in a nice manners instead of treating a tenant like garbage because she made a mistake. We are so sad that at the end of this process we have to go thru this.
