I had surgery at Magee two days ago. The surgery itself was unpleasant but the doctors, nurses, physician assistants, and patient care techs were all wonderful. The nurses were all very attentive, assessing pain and making sure I was as comfortable as possible. When I was moved from the recovery area to my room for an overnight stay I had a great nurse (Josh) and PCT (Kendall) who were awesome and made sure I had water, extra pillow, etc without me even asking for anything. The room was clean and private. Before and after my procedure everything was explained and my discharge instructions were reviewed and I was sent home with information and a follow up appointment was already scheduled. I am glad I chose Magee... the hospital is a bit far from my home but I received great care.
