My prescription had changed and since I'm on the west side, I decided to visit Shopko Eyecare Center for the eye exam. The good: The exam didn't take long, and it wasn't crowded. One half of the exam is done by one person who handles the front desk and the other half is handled by an actually optometrist. The bad: They really need to do a good cleaning on all the equipment they use. One of devices need to check my eyes had grease and hair stuck to it. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Also, if you are looking for any extras, you need to go somewhere else. I asked about getting tested for Macular Degeneration and I was advised to visit UW clinic or Dean clinic. The cost of my exam was $53.
