Children and inexperienced riders need not be afraid to try this out. The horses are VERY gentle, well-trained and appear to be well cared for. They each have their own little "horsenality", which is funny and cute. Our wrangler, James, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the desert. He taught us all about plants and wildlife throughout our ride, and stopped to take pictures along the way. Overall, a really fun experience. I'm not sure I'd do the 2-hour ride again, though. After the first 30 minutes or so, it all looks the same.
