I feel it is necessary to begin my review of Yassou by mentioning that I may have a slight obsession with Greek/Mediterranean cuisine. I love everything about the food - plain and simple. To give some perspective, I eat Greek/Mediterranean cuisine 3 times a week on average; and I refuse to order from any other restaurant in this category. Why? Because Yassou has thoroughly impressed me every single time.
Let's start with service quality. I would give these folks 6 stars out of 5 if it was possible. From my understanding, Yassou is a restaurant run by multiple generations of a single family - a family that is truly passionate about what they do. As soon as you step foot in the restaurant, you get the feeling that every employee loves where they work. In a perfect world, every restaurant would evoke these sentiments in their customers.
And how about the food? Outstanding food quality and generous portions makes Yassou my absolute favorite Greek restaurant in Las Vegas. Always fresh and high-quality ingredients make every dish a winner. I'm a huge fan of both the greek salad and the gyro + chicken kebab combo plate. The protein is perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor, and the rice is nothing short of delectable.
