I have got to give Tease Hair & Body Parlor some major props for their excellent customer service. About two months after I posted my negative review I got a call from the manager apologizing for the poor experience I had at their salon and extended the offer of a free mani-pedi. Well, of course, I did not turn them down. The manager also assured me that they had replaced the "nail girl" who had done so poorly and that I was going to love their new girl. She was even able to fit me in that week. I would have to say that they truly made up for the experience. The girl who did my mani-pedi was warm and friendly and committed to good customer service. She made me feel right at home and I barely had to wait. While I was there the manager came over, introduced herself and engaged me in conversation. I was truly happy that I had chosen to give them another shot. So here goes my "updated" review: Pros: Friendly employees, tranquil environment, commitment to customer service, upscale products (OPI, Essie etc). My manicure was beautiful, the massage was wonderful and she even asked me if she was applying enough pressure. The nail girl was very easy to talk to and I enjoyed our conversation. Also, even though this service was "on the house" I know that their nail services are very affordable. Cons: It wasn't the best pedicure I have ever had. They don't have a full massage chair/foot spa but instead they have a comfy chair and they bring a small portable foot-spa over to you. The reason I didn't like that was because the pedicure was very "dry" and when she used the OPI scrub on my legs there was an uncomfortable amount of friction. She did a nice job on my toes but I think she used too much polish... after letting them dry during the whole manicure they still smudged really bad when I put on my shoes. :( It pains me to give a neutral review to this salon after they treated me so wonderful--but I believe it's my duty to be honest. I would defiantly go back to Tease because they were so friendly and their prices are good. I would go back for a manicure or another service but most likely wouldn't go for a pedicure unless they update to a real foot spa.
