I really wanted to like the flowers I ordered at Pistil. When this store was Black Eyed Susans, they had excellent arrangements. There are few flower shops that hire people that do excellent flower arranging - BES and the Teatro Verde were the gold standard. Pistil is now expensive and bad. I ordered 2 arrangements for Admin Prof day a few weeks ago for close to $200.00, picking them up myself. I asked specifically for only 2 colours, no roses or white flowers. The arrangements looked tired, were poorly matched and definitely included coloured roses. This is my second time ordering mediocre flowers from Pistil since they changed hands. My colleagues have had similar experience. It is not acceptable to charge premium prices just because you are in the financial district - customers expect more. I am disappointed.
