I bought two leather couches from RTG in Pineville about 8 years ago. They still look great despite 5 kids and two dogs. I have an expensive leather sectional from an upscale store that is less than 2 years old and it already is looking worn!!
So when three of my kids needed new mattresses and beds, I decided to go check out RTG again. The showroom is a disorganized mess -- they do not separate out the furniture like other furniture stores do, so it's confusing. It's also a madhouse on the weekends. Go at night, and you'll have the store to yourself! I went in the RTG Kids section, which is separated from the regular side of the store and that is less confusing.
I liked what I saw, so I bought three full-sized mattresses, three full-sized beds, two dressers, a mirror, and a nightstand. The sales person was efficient and helpful (I was in a rush).
I think the furniture took about 1.5 week to arrive. They called a few days before to remind me of the delivery, and gave me a window of 7 - 11 am. The delivery guys arrived right at 8, and immediately got to work. They assembled the beds and hauled away the old mattresses. They were polite and efficient, and more importantly the furniture was well-wrapped and arrived in perfect condition. Minutes after they left, customer service called to check on the delivery and I had nothing negative to say. Perhaps, RTG is trying to step up their game with so many complaints.
So here is the deal. Is the furniture awesome quality? No. But, honestly I have bought furniture at all different price points, and most of it is the same no matter where it comes from. I like the style of the furniture I bought -- it's perfect for my boys, and I'm sure it will last.
