My wife and I brought our 2 month old kitten from the emergency animal hospital on Gilbert and Juniper to this location. Our kitten was on the brink of death, when they were able to revive him and put an iv so that they could put fluids into our kitten. Because the fees would been well over $1400, we agreed to transport our kitten to Dr. Kern's facility because they had the same type of facility, but it would cost a little less. We were told by the staff, that Dr. Kern's staff would be waiting to take our sick kitten and hopefully help it get better. However, when I arrived, I waited 15 minutes just for someone to actually bring us into a room. Then it was another 10 - 15 minutes before anyone even took our kitten. Meanwhile our kitten was struggling to survive. The way that the staff carelessly handled our kitten with disregard for it's health, and unfortunately because of the lack of attention and care from all of the staff, our kitten died in their possession. The frustrating part was that they just had our little guy in a cage and very seldom provided any needs that our kitten needed. Not only that, but I was completely unimpressed with Dr. Kern, and her demeaning attitude towards the staff. On several occasions while in the office, you could here one of the employees yelling at the dogs to shut up because they were barking. The way that Dr. Kern spoke not only to us, but she was extremely short and was very pushy and rude to the staff. Quite honestly I have no idea why anyone would put up with the treatment they receive from Dr. Kern. I wish that my wife and I could have left our kitten at the emergency animal hospital as it seemed that the attention and care he received was night and day! I would NEVER use Dr. Kern again
