I called for a price quote on muffler replacement after getting an initial estimate from my repair shop. The man who answered seemed more or less uninterested in helping me during our entire conversation, but then, as we were discussing prices, he interrupted me to say, "So you basically want to know how badly the other place is going to rape you?" -- This comment left me absolutely disgusted, stunned and pretty much speechless. Really? Repair shop price gouging shouldn't be casually referred to this way, and after working for several years in Victim Services, I can-NOT imagine how I would have felt if I was a victim of rape/sexual assault and heard someone say something like this while I was simply researching repair shops.
He really needs to learn to be professional. I just couldn't believe what I'd heard, and the place definitely lost all of my immediate and future business.
