I feel lucky that I discovered Whiskers Dog Spa on Yelp. Took my Havanese pup there yesterday, and he got the best grooming job ever. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Loved the friendly atmosphere, where all the dogs freely walk around while waiting for their grooming. They even have a window ledge where the doggies can look out the window. Clean and efficient - will definitely be coming back!
