Just north of the Tim Hortons at Bloor St. is Rosie Robins, where you can find a better cup of coffee. To be honest, they are not even on the same level and you'll realize this when you try it. Rosie brews only the best beans and in this case, it is Ideal Coffee beans which can be smelt all throughout the corner during the morning rush. I tried their iced coffee and loved how the "ice" was actually frozen coffee. As the ice melted, I was gifted with more coffee which really added a nice touch! Although Rosie Robins is your neighbourhood corner store for those quick grocery runs, it's also surprisingly great for hot foods such as jerk chicken, pizza, pasta, empanadas and beef patties etc. I only tried the beef patty which was steaming hot and absolutely delicious. I've seen the jerk chicken and it looks amazing - I'll have to come back to try it. They also have Caribbean baked goods. Overall, the atmosphere is very quiet, comfortable and the ladies who work/run the store are very nice. It's a great spot to get work done, read or socialize over coffee and/or food. There's a couple of tables for seating inside, but the patio is best during the summer months.
