Having stayed at hotels like the Bellagio or the Wynn on previous Vegas trips, my husband and I had lowered expectations for this hotel. We figured it would be more focused on the party aspect of Vegas instead of luxury. However, we were pleasantly surprised and would rank this up there as one of our favorite hotels.
We were staying in an Ultra Resort Vista Room on the 22nd floor and we were blown away by the place. The bedroom and bathroom were enormous. We had a huge window over the tub in the bathroom that looked out over the strip in the direction of the MGM Grand. Our windows in the bedroom had views facing the Cosmopolitan/Aria as well as a bit of the Bellagio. My only complaint on the room was the shower must have been clogged a bit because it didn't drain water very well as we showered.
The hotel itself is in a prime central location making it easy to walk to the Bellagio, Caesar's Palace, the Paris Hotel, etc. However, there are so many places to eat here and it also has the Mile Shops that everything you could want is right where you're at. We were staying here because we were seeing The Backstreet Boys in The Axis. Easiest walk for us since our elevators from our room opened steps from the theater.
As far as dining in the hotel, Gordon Ramsy's Burger is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Vegas, and we also loved the new Cafe Hollywood. Fat Tuesdays in the Mile Shops is another spot we frequented and the hotel also gave us a coupon for a free sandwich from Earl of Sandwich with the purchase of another sandwich and fountain drink at check in. The games are great in the hotel's casino as well. The decor and music is fun and upbeat throughout the property. My husband and I wouldn't hesitate to consider this hotel the next time we are in Vegas.
