First off don't let its appearance keep you away! There aren't many of these kind of place left in Charlotte especially in this area of town these days. It is good simple food at reasonable prices which you don't see much anymore. The pecan fried chicken is their signature dish and it seems like you can't go wrong with it. The vegetarian meatloaf is probably the best I have ever had. And make sure to save room for one of their always changing desserts! I wasn't a big fan of the summer corn (a little to "relishy" for me) salad but the broccoli casserole and the pimento Mac and cheese were great.
