Actually, my mother told me about this spot. She was cracking me up with this story of one of her friends whose favorite sushi restaurant was known as the "$2 sushi joint" in Chandler! Hahaha...we had to check this out! Didn't even read the Yelp! reviews beforehand. Joke's on me, I loved it and have been back twice already. Probably the coolest part (everyone agrees) is the conveyor belt that whizzes the plates of sushi past your face while you decide on your selection. There was a sushi restaurant at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, right when the hotel opened up - they had the same type of conveyor system, but they called it an 'Automat'. Nonetheless, Eastwind is a cool little lunch spot, unpretentious and delicious. It may be true that they use alot of spicy mayo...good thing I think that's YUM! I liked the Arizona roll (or was it the ASU?) right amount of avacado, siracha and topped with sliced jalapeno. Nice lunch spot, and a fun time if you sit at the counter. See you there :)
