I am shocked by the less-than-stellar reviews I've read here about what I consider to be the best nail salon in the area.
John and Tham, the owners, always make sure I get exactly what I need and want and make sure that their pricing is fair, upfront and appropriate to the services rendered. After trying 4 other locations for nail services in both Oakmont and Verona, I have to say that I've never felt as though I was treated better or provided with better nail service anywhere. In fact, the two places I tried in Verona were visibly dirty, in need of an interior facelift and and in desperate need of friendlier staff. The two locations I tried elsewhere in Oakmont were overpriced.
I am especially taken aback by the reviewer who claimed John was inappropriately flirting with a teenager. That's just an unfair ad hominem attack on the character of a man she neither knows nor understands. If you have a problem with customer service that is fine. She didn't like waiting for her nails to be done. To try to smear a man's personal good name is inexcusable. His wife works alongside him. I've known them for years and they have a great, fun relationship. And they both joke with their longtime clients. I'm very sorry if you don't understand when service providers and their clients are also family friends.
I highly recommend this nail salon. They build positive relationships with their clients and I promise that the review of the impatient woman who felt slighted because she was asked to wait for service does not speak for the hundreds of clients who've faithfully visited John and his family for years.
